In 2019 Eiva Arts Foundation implemented the “English Language through ARVEST art card game” capacity building workshop for teachers to help promote gamified and content based studying of the English language.
Within the frames of the capacity building workshop series were organized for more than 150 teachers from Yerevan and various regions of Armenia to foster implementing the ARVEST art card games with the specially elaborated language learning manual as a vehicle to improve English communication. The manual incorporated various exercises including storytelling, essay writing, creative thinking, role playing inspired by the artworks presented on the card game. The workshops were run by the English language specialists of the Eurasia International University Sona Manukyan and Sonya Merian, the visiting lecturer from Boston.
The workshop series were made possible in close collaboration with Eurasia International University, Paradigma Educational Foundation, with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan Department of State Public Affairs Section grant.
